A smile behind the mask

Laura Fuchs, a female photographer in New York, has been taking photographs of people with the masks and it had only one condition: smile.

Called ‘Masks Smile’, she started with a child and her mother playing with a puddle in New York City, both wearing masks. Wearing a face mask, gloves and a camera, she makes many people smiling with masks at a distance of 6ft (2m) in this global pandemic.

According to John Hopkins University, New York has so far over 335,000 cases of covid-19 with 26,000 deaths. It’s roughly one third of the US death toll of 81,000.
